Moving Back to Mississippi

This coming weekend, this Mississippi boy plans to move back to Mississippi.
We'll be moving to Brookhaven, something we feel God is leading us to do.
Amid sickness, transportation issues, and more, we're still trying to get ready, and trusting in the Lord for help with details.
My wife Donna summed it up well, so I'll repeat her words below:

"For those who don't know, I've been offered a great job as Managing Editor of The Daily Leader and we'll be moving to Brookhaven, Miss. this weekend. Brett's still waiting to hear about a job at the Ridgeland Lowe's so prayers are appreciated. He's had two phone interviews already, so now we're just waiting on good news.
"Sadly, the old Jeep finally died for good and the Taurus is in the shop still waiting on a transmission that fits and works - we're about to order #3. (Ordering online is cheaper but tricky.) So right now we're without transportation. Prayers appreciated for that too.
"We'll miss our friends we've made here in Louisiana at our jobs and at Kingsville Baptist and we'll never be able to thank Angela and Timothy S Baggett at Hidden Treasure RV Resort enough for their generosity and Christian love.
"We'll be a tad further from Emma, Britain and Tobias Campbell but we hope to make regular visits back to Natchitoches Parish to visit them. And we'll be back in Mississippi a bit closer to Devøn Søup Campbell, so maybe we'll get to see him more often too.
"This is a great opportunity that God is providing and we're trusting in Him for the details to make it happen. In the meantime, we've got some packing to do! God bless you all!"

My oldest daughter and I just spent some time talking on Skype (so thankful for this program that lets us do this!). Homecoming

This was written a few years ago ... Homecoming. Sunday, Chunky Baptist Church will celebrate its homecoming. My brother is the guest speaker. Lunch will follow. For a lot of us, the word "homecoming" has certain connotations -- food, fellowship, honoring a person or group, celebration, memories, friends and family. Whether associated with church, sports or anything else, little changes. But for those of us who don't live, worship or attend that "home" anymore, it's not a coming, it's a going. We're home-going. We plan, anticipate and travel in order tk be a part of the event. We're going back home. So the emphasis of the word lies really with those who are inviting.
